Master your Gaggenau Induction cooktop

How do I clean my Gaggenau gas cooktop?

Always let the surface and burners cool down before cleaning. Clean the stainless steel surface with a small amount of warm soapy water and a microfibre cloth. Avoid using harsh scrubbing pads and caustic cleansers. To remove heavy soiling or discolouration caused by cooking at high temperatures, a special stainless steel cleaner is available from the Gaggenau eshop. Never use oven cleaner on a cooktop surface. To clean your ring burners, remove and submerge them in a solution of 1 part water to 1 part white vinegar for 15 min. They can also be cleaned with warm soapy water and a microfibre cloth. Make sure the burners are completely dry before reinstalling them.

How do I clean my Gaggenau induction cooktop?

Perhaps one of the greatest benefit of induction cooking is how easy it is to keep the cooking surface clean, during or after cooking.

Should you need to clean the control panel while cooking is in process, use the pause function to lock it while you wipe up any spilt liquid. Press the pause button again to unlock the panel. After cooking, wipe the area clean with a dry cloth. Always let the surface cool down before cleaning the cooktop with warm soapy water and a cloth. Special induction cleaning solution is also available from the Gaggenau eshop and can be used when the cooktop is completely cool.

How do I clean my Gaggenau Vario Teppan Yaki?

The Gaggenau Vario Teppan Yaki should never been cleaned with harsh abrasive cleaning products. If your appliance is turned off but still hot, you can add 5 to 6 ice cubes to the surface and use the spatula provided to remove the cooking residue on the surface. Then wipe the surface with a damp, soft cloth. This option is ideal if you need to clean the surface between cooking at different temperatures.

If your appliance is cold, combine approximately one cup (240 ml) of water mixed with a few drops of dishwashing liquid and pour over the surface. Turn the temperature control knob to the cleaning position and leave it to soak for 5 to 10 minutes depending on the amount of residue. Then mop out the liquid with a soft cleaning cloth. To remove stubborn stains or burnt on food a cleaning gel can be purchased from the Gaggenau eshop.
