With so many things you can produce in a Combi-steam oven, here are four useful tips to become a master of steam baking.

Perfect grains

When steaming grains in the Steam oven, use a ¼ cup less water than the cooktop method for preparation. Grains do not need to be covered when steaming in the Steam oven.

Roasting meats

Moderate temperatures between 325 - 350℉ combined with 60% steam, provide the best results when roasting meats in the Steam oven. Use a higher heat setting 425 - 450℉ with 0% steam for 10 - 15 minutes for searing at the beginning or the end of the cooking process. Using the included core temperature probe is recommended to achieve precise results.

Browning with the Grill

For additional browning or crisping of meats or vegetables, use the Grill Level 2 with Steam setting set to 425℉.

Combat hard water

If you live in a hard water area be sure to keep a supply of Descaling tablets on hand to prevent interruption of use.
