Learn how to get the most out of your induction cooking experience with these helpful tips.

Choose the right pans

For best results, Gaggenau recommends 5-ply stainless pans, enameled cast iron, and traditional cast iron pans for induction cooking. Pans with a vented glass lid allow you to monitor the cooking and make rapid temperature changes as needed.

Don’t forget the pause button

If you experience boil-overs while cooking, touch the Pause symbol on the cooktop and wipe clean with a damp cloth. Touch the Pause symbol again to resume cooking.

Cleaning tips

Allow the cooktop to cool before cleaning with a soft cleaning cloth soaked in hot soapy water. Wipe dry with a clean dry cloth. Additional cleaning supplies are available from the eshop (link to Induction cooktop cleaning supplies)

How to reduce cooking odors

Turning on the ventilation 10 minutes prior to cooking establishes a good airflow and keeps the area free of odors, and selecting the run-on (insert graphic if possible) function at the end of cooking the fan will run for an additional 10 minutes to clear residual cooking odors.

The full-surface induction cooktop

The full surface induction cooktops can be fitted flush or on the worktop and offer an impressive 30 or 36 inches of creative space upon which to place up to five to six pans, respectively, or a Teppan Yaki accessory.
