The BSH Western Region Builder Team hosted a select group of premier California residential architects, designers and developers for an enchanted summer evening in the German Black Forest. The BSH Experience & Design Center in Irvine , Gaggenau’s regional showroom, was transformed for the pop-up dinner with renowned chef and culinary artist, Bobby Cortez and co-hosted with Petrossian.
Within the luxurious showroom, invited guests were treated to a private instructional caviar and champagne tasting lead by Chistopher Klapp of Petrossian. Having spent nearly a century perfecting the art of caviar, Petrossian created the exceptional tasting menu.
Woodsy scents and florals draped the dining room, transforming it into the Black Forest and setting the tone of the evening for dinner and conversation. An expansive table, reminiscent of the lush forest floor, welcomed guests to the immersive culinary journey. The menu featured white asparagus velouté, roasted beet panna cotta and Washington grass fed short rib braised in liquid rotkohl and huckleberry potato mousse. The meal concluded with the “Campfire Under the Chestnut Tree” dessert featuring ember fire chestnut cake, black forest whiskey caramel and cherries in textures.
