With offices now around the world, Nobél LA , founded by Max Nobél, traces its origins to Ukraine, where a passion for architecture and design took root. “Building my first 13,000-square-foot home made me realize this was exactly what I wanted to pursue,” Nobél reflects. At just 23, he relocated to Los Angeles with the goal of creating high-end homes that not only embodied luxury but also evoked deep emotional connections. “Our designs aren’t meant for everyone. But for that one in ten who truly connect with it, they’ll feel something profound,” Nobél shares, emphasizing the firm’s commitment to crafting personalized, emotionally resonant spaces that go beyond mere aesthetics.

Design Ethos: Emotion at the Core

Nobél LA’s philosophy goes beyond aesthetics, focusing on creating spaces that evoke a sense of home and emotional connection. A recent 16,000-plus-square-foot home in Beverly Hills features his signature “modern barn house” style which draws inspiration from European architecture, particularly the rustic elegance of the Swiss Alps, incorporating warm, natural materials like wood, marble, and brass. “In Los Angeles, so many homes are driven by budget and square footage. I wanted something that touches you emotionally,” explains Nobél.

Rejecting the cold, sterile “white box” trend, his designs balance modernity with warmth, blending sleek European interiors with textures that create a cozy, lived-in atmosphere. “It’s not just about looks—it’s about creating something you feel connected to,” Nobél emphasizes.

Integrating Gaggenau: Elevating Every Interior

Gaggenau’s blend of cutting-edge technology and sleek design perfectly complements Nobél’s vision. “Appliances play a crucial role in our interiors, and Gaggenau seamlessly integrates into our designs,” he says, highlighting the aesthetic and functional synergy between the two.

Nobél has been incorporating Gaggenau into his projects for years and continues to feature the brand in high-profile developments. Currently, he’s working on the prestigious Aman Residences in New York, where Gaggenau appliances are exclusively used. In Newport Beach, he’s designing a large home entirely outfitted with Gaggenau products. Additionally, Nobél is leading another project in the exclusive Crystal Cove Gated Community in Orange County, where Gaggenau will again be the centerpiece of the kitchen design.
