Nadia Damaso was born and raised in Switzerland and has become one of Switzerland’s most successful cookbook authors. Nadia began cooking at the age of 10, but it was when returning to Switzerland after living in Canada for 6 months, that she decided to overhaul her lifestyle and reinvent her relationship with food. Her well known motto of “Eat Better, Not Less” was formed at this stage.
Nadia published her first cookbook when she was 19 years old and since then, created a second cookbook which is inspired by rich culinary culture from across the globe. She wanted her second cookbook to be an experience for all senses, so created playlists which gave her reader a deeper dive into the culture of that country.
Alongside spreading her love of food through Instagram and her cookbooks, Nadia has given two Ted Talks. One discusses the beginnings of her passion for cooking and how her motto came to life. In the other, she discussed why fighting for your dreams is always worth the effort.
“I always say quality above quantity, because at the end it always pays off.”

After producing two cookbooks, Nadia decided to create her own creative space – a place in which she can be as innovative with food as she likes. Her kitchen studio was designed entirely from scratch with Nadia individually choosing every aspect: from the materials, to the furniture, to the appliances. Nadia favoured appliances from our 400 series, including ovens, cooktops and refrigeration, because she required a minimalist kitchen in which she has complete creative freedom.
The kitchen is not only a place of work for Nadia, it is a place of inspiration. With the 400 series, Nadia makes use of high performance yet beautifully crafted appliances, which allow her to create culinary masterpieces.
