Creating your drink is a joy. The display illuminates upon your approach, the floating control ring ticks over satisfyingly as you flick through a choice of 19, eminently adjustable, beverage options.
There are two modes for you to choose when creating your beverage. Classic, for simple adjustments, or Barista, offering professional-level customisation of every aspect of your drink, your favourite preferences can then be stored within the machine. Create up to ten profiles for friends, family and guests, store up to ten beverage favourites within each profile. This ensures that all can enjoy their perfect beverage, with ease. Even the cleaning and descaling are automatic.
Make two cups of coffee simultaneously so that you and a guest can enjoy your coffees together. You may even utilise the Gaggenau Home Connect app to remotely activate the process from another room to ensure your coffee is ready upon your arrival.
For the coffee aficionado, the machine is a must. When changing beans, say from Ethiopian Sidamo to Colombia Geisha, the grinder can clean itself to ensure no residue from the previous beans find their way into the new coffee. Brewing temperature is consistent and instantaneous while the brewing technology ensures the full aroma is released. Bean and milk levels are also constantly monitored and a warning appears if there is not enough of either, so you’ll never be interrupted when preparing a beverage.
